Italian wine is back in the US, and it has never been stronger. After more than two years of absence from attending events, with its participation in the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (SOBEWFF®) in Miami La Scolca is one of the first wineries to return to the US. The importance of this attendance is validated even more by the presence of Chiara Soldati, CEO of the most historical Gavi winery and one of the first producers to personally return in the States with her wines.
The presence at the Festival will be an opportunity to celebrate not only the return to in-person events but will also mark another important milestone such as the partnership within La Scolca and Coravin. The driving force behind the synergy between these two companies, one a pioneer of innovation and the other a great guardian of tradition in wine industry, is a goal they share: to be an advocate for conscious drinking, raising awareness on the importance of a quality and sustainable wine consumption.
“I’m really happy to be back in the market that loves our wines the most, so much so that we decided to announce such an important partnership such as the one with Coravin right in the USA” – says Chiara Soldati, CEO of La Scolca – “I’d really wish to thank our extraordinary partner for the wonderful opportunity to communicate the culture of moderate drinking together”.
This will also be the chance to present the wines that are best-sellers in the USA – Gavi dei Gavi ® Black Label, Gavi dei Gavi ® D’Antan and Gavi La Scolca. The decision to present these wines is suggestive of the reputation Gavi enjoys as one of the most recognized wines in the USA.
“We’re excited to have Chiara in person with us at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival to share her incredible wines at events throughout the week. As the defining wine of Gavi, La Scolca has been a focal point of the Shaw-Ross portfolio since partnering with us in 2019 and we are looking forward to working towards continued growth,” says Bruce Hunter, Managing Director for Shaw-Ross International, La Scolca’s US importer.
